Grieving a Complicated Relationship. Sunday Group

Service Description
Welcome to a support group for people grieving the loss of a significant other who was also an abuser/complicated relationship. Losing someone who was part of your life—and who also hurt you—can bring feelings that are difficult to express. You may feel sadness, anger, love, relief, guilt, confusion, or numbness. You may miss the person while also feeling safer without them. You may be grieving the relationship you had, the harm you experienced, or the loving relationship you hoped for but never received. This group offers space for **both** your grief and the truth of your experience. You do not have to minimize the abuse to honor your loss, and you do not have to deny your grief to acknowledge the harm. You will not be asked to defend your feelings, forgive the person, or remember only the good. Here, we aim to listen without judgment, respect one another’s boundaries, and make room for different experiences. You may share at your own pace, choose not to share, or simply listen. You do not need to tell your whole story to belong. There is no expectation that you feel a certain way or follow a particular timeline. Our purpose is to offer connection, understanding, and support as you make space for your loss, your experience, and your life moving forward.

Eight-Week Grief Support Group Policy Purpose & Scope This group is for adults 18 and older grieving the death of someone whose relationship with them included abuse. Enrollment includes eight scheduled, 90-minute Zoom meetings facilitated by a life coach and end-of-life coach. This is a nonclinical support group—not psychotherapy, diagnosis, mental-health treatment, or crisis care. No specific outcome is guaranteed. Participation & Respect Sharing is voluntary. You may listen, decline activities, take breaks, or withdraw. No one must describe abuse or forgive the person who died. Harassment, threats, victim-blaming, pressure to share, and unsolicited sales are prohibited. Ask permission before offering advice or contacting participants outside meetings. The facilitator may pause or end participation to protect the group. Privacy Protect participants’ identities and stories. Recording, screenshots, AI transcription, and sharing Zoom links are prohibited. Join from a private space and use headphones when possible. Confidentiality is expected but cannot be guaranteed. The facilitator may disclose information with your permission, when legally required, or as reasonably necessary to respond to an immediate safety emergency. Registration & Payment The $120 fee covers the entire eight-session series, not individual meetings. Any payment arrangement must be agreed upon before enrollment. Registration is not transferable. If the facilitator declines enrollment, payments will be refunded in full. Cancellations & Refunds • Cancel at least seven days before the first meeting for a full refund. • Cancel fewer than seven days before the first meeting for a 50% refund. • After the series begins, missed meetings are not refundable or recorded. Hardship requests for unused sessions will be considered individually. • You may withdraw at any time. • If the facilitator ends your participation or cancels the remaining program, unused sessions will be refunded and future installments canceled. • A canceled meeting will be rescheduled. If you cannot attend the replacement, that session will be refunded. Safety & Agreement Messages are for program questions and scheduling, are not continuously monitored, and do not provide crisis support. For emergencies, contact local emergency services. By booking, you confirm that you are 18 or older and accept the group’s scope, privacy limitations, participation rules, and payment and refund terms.
